Shirley was born in Priest River, ID to Romeo and Rose (Saccamanno) Mauro. She attended Stevens and St. Aloysius grade schools and graduated from Marycliff High School in 1954. That same year she married the love of her life, Harold W. Naccarato, and they had a wonderful marriage filled with joy and laughter that lasted 46 years until his passing in December 2000. Shirley had a long distinguished career at the Crescent Department Store beginning in 1956. She retired in 1988 after 32 years as an Accounts Payable and Traffic Manager at age 52. She was a faithful churchgoer and longtime member of St. Aloysius Church and Altar Society. Shirley walked and enjoyed coffee at Northtown every morning with her cousins and friends and spent her winters in El Mirage in Mesa, AZ. She cherished her family and friends, as they cherished her and always made sure to have homemade food and treats ready for company. She is survived by her daughter; Michele “Shelley” Naccarato-Webb (Mark), granddaughter Nicole Naccarato-Webb, step-grandson Chris Webb and great granddaughter Cora Naccarato all of Spokane. As well as her brothers; Don (Delores) Mauro, Providence RI, Dick (Barbara) Mauro, San Diego, CA, and Jim (Beverly) Mauro, Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by sisters-in-laws; Jean Naccarato, Mesa, AZ, Gladys (Leonard) Goss, Tacoma, WA, and Bess Naccarato of Tacoma, WA. Best friend and Cousin Mary Lou Goolie, Spokane, WA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents; Romeo and Rose Mauro, brothers-in-laws; Donnie, Jerry and Frank Naccarato and sister-in-law; Teresa DeWitt. A special thanks to Brighton Court and Spokane Hospice who so faithfully took wonderful care of Mom. Rosary will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 4:00pm at Hennessey Funeral Home Rose Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church 330 E. Boone Avenue Spokane, WA 99202 on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:00am.
