January 25, 1947 ~ March 10, 2023 (age 76) 76 Years Old
Steven William Luke Sr. 76, of Spokane, WA passed away on March 10th, 2023 at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. He was born in Wallace, ID on January 25th, 1947. Steven graduated from Wallace High School in 1965 and received an Associate in Arts Degree from Spokane Fall Community College in 1988. He enlisted in the Navy and served from 1968 –1974.
Throughout Junior High to High School, he spent his time enjoying Cub Scouts, in 1964 he became an Eagle Scout. As a Vietnam Veteran he volunteered at the Veterans Center along with being a sponsor to help his fellow Veterans. Steven loved to cook! One of his favorite meals to cook for his family was Lasagna. He always enjoyed the company of dogs. His dachshunds Scooter, Priciness and Snoopy meant the world to him.
Since Steven was a child, he loved to read and put together model cars. Over the year he entered his 1968 Mustang and his 1984 Thunderbird in many shows throughout the Inland Northwest. In 1991 at the 12th International Mustang Meet he took 2nd place for Best Coupe. In 1997 at the 18th International Mustang Meet he took 1st place for Stock Mustang. He spent many years in the Inland Northwest Car Club Council. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
Steven will be deeply missed by all and always remembered by his loved. He is survived by his brother Roger M. Luke, his three children Corie A. Noyes, Steven W. Luke Jr, and his stepson Andrew T. Smith. Four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and grandparents.
He was laid to rest at Medical Lake Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA and Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Pleas check back for further information.
