With his family by his side, Terrence James Kelley, known to friends and family as “Terry,” returned to his Father in Heaven on March 21, 2018 at the age of 74 years.
Terry was born on October 11, 1943 and graduated from Rosalia High School in 1961. He served two tours in the United States Navy on the USS Princeton during the Vietnam War from 1962 through 1965. After his service, Terry lived in Southern California where he met and married his eternal companion, Susan Daniel. In 1977, Terry returned to Spokane, Washington where he remained with Susan to raise their children.
Terry loved local sports and was a huge fan of the WSU Cougars, Seattle Mariners and Gonzaga Basketball. He also loved gardening, camping at Priest Lake, serving his church & community as well as guiding his family with examples of loyalty, integrity and perseverance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Rosalie Kelley and is survived by his brother, Michael Kelley and his sister, Kathleen McCoy. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Susan Kelley, and by his 8 children, Kimberly (Greg) Reed, Dion Kelley, Scott (Geneva) Kelley, Kevin Kelley, Danielle (William) Reeve, Katrina (Colata) Loganimoce, Heather (Spencer) Brower, Katherine (Tristen) Long and his cherished 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at the LDS Chapel located at 401 W Regina Avenue in Spokane, Washington with a private burial to be followed.
