McGuire-Reichert-Tollefson, Thelma Irene (age 78)

Thelma, born and raised in Spokane on June 4, 1939 passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday September 5, 2017.  She was 1 of 6 children born of Torvald and Ingeborg Tollefson.  A life-long Spokane resident, Thelma was a proud graduate and cheerleader of North Central High School class of '57.  Up until the day she passed, she could still perform the whole NCHS fight song and dance!  After working a few odd jobs, she settled in with Kaiser Aluminum for the long haul.  She retired from Kaiser in the late '90s.  Upon retirement she enjoyed spending time with her husband Howard and all of her extended family.  Thelma was an outgoing, fun-loving, kind, and generous woman until the end.  Thelma was always there for some 'Huggin Lovins', to wipe your tears, to make you laugh until your side hurt, to only make suggestions, and to always EAT DESSERT FIRST.  Thelma was preceded by her beloved husband Howard McGuire, parents, 2 brothers,1 sister, 2 daughters and 1 son.  She is survived by her last surviving daughter Therresa (Reichert) Clemons, 2 sisters, countless grandkids, great grandkids, multiple nieces/nephews, and her dog Pepper. Thelma's Life Celebration Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Saturday September 16, 2017 in the West Central Community Center - 1603 N. Belt Street in Spokane, WA.  A light lunch and dessert will be served.  Thelma requests in lieu of flowers or memorial contributions that a donation to your charity of choice be made.
