We greet you with cheer. Virginia Strassburger RileyAbraham, (1938-2017) is celebrating with her children from Thomas Riley, jumping with freedom from star to star without pain watching her brother James Strassburger and her most valuable gifts of her 6 children: Teresa Watson (Paul), Veronica Cook, Matthew Riley (Brenda), Patrick Riley (Laura), Paula Kemmerer (Eldon), and Timothy Riley. The union with their spouses produced 14 grandchildren and the blessing increased with 12 great grandchildren plus 2 more on the way! Virginia believes in being positive! Family was and is important to her. she wanted to, and believed in ALWAYS improving yourself and giving your best. She dedicated herself to raising her children and achieving her master's at WSU in nursing so she could teach. Working as a nurse from 1975 to 2002, and then volunteering at the COP SHOP, always helping to make the world a better place. Virginia believed being a mother was the best gift. She never turned down relatives, and friends that needed a place to stay. They were ALWAYS welcome in her home to stay as long as they needed, to sort out their lives. If you wish to donate for her beliefs "The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery" is a charity she held dear to her heart. She was a wonderful, and nurturing mother who always welcomed us home. Mother was her MOST IMPORTANT ROLE. Rest in peace Momma, we love you and will be looking at the stars. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:00 am on Monday September 11.
