Warren W. Jacobs peacefully passed to his eternal rest on October 26, 2018 at Avalon Senior Care Center, in Spokane, Washington. Warren was born August 16, 1922, to William and Violet (Nibler) Jacobs in Moscow, Idaho. He attended grade school in Genesee, Idaho and high school in Lapwai, Idaho. Warren enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942, at the start of WWII. He was stationed on Antiqua Island as an Airplane Machinist, with no furloughs for three years, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his return, he married his hometown sweetheart, Josephine Hibbs, on February 3, 1946, in Spokane, Washington. They have been an inspiration for their family for their 72 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Bill and Kathy. Warren worked for Potlach Mills and Mitchell Distributing in Lewiston until 1964, when they purchased Jacobs Oil Company in Grangeville, Idaho. He and Josephine operated the business together until 1980, when they sold the business to their son Bill. In 1996, Warren and Josephine moved to Spokane, Washington, where he spent time golfing, traveling and enjoying his retirement. Warren is survived by his loving wife Josephine; son, Bill (Ruth) Jacobs and daughter, Kathy (Cliff) Christiansen; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Violet, brothers, Reeves and Boyd, and sisters, Ruth and Bonnie (Bud) Powell. Services will be in Spokane, Washington. Viewing at Hennessy Funeral Home, on November 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 9 at 11:00 AM, at St. Thomas More church, with burial immediately following at Fairmount Cemetery.
