Marshall, Susan G.  Age 97

Susan G. Marshall died peacefully on October 19, 2017, after living a full life.  She was born February 17, 1920 in Wenatchee, WA to David and Ethel Gellatly.  She graduated from Wenatchee High School and the University of Washington. 

Susan spent many years as a wife and mother to four children.  “Ours was the home where everyone came, since Mom always had cookies, a friendly smile and good advice (but only if asked).”   Later Susan worked for Camp Fire office for 17 years.

Sue loved to golf, camp, swim and was active in the outdoors, making her last tent camping trip when she was 91 years old!  Husky football, the Seahawks and Gonzaga basketball were favorites, often having people over for the games.  Susan was a member of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church and Chapter R, PEO.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, William David, her husband Bill, her son-in-law Mike Carosella, her parents David and Ethel Gellatly, her sister Gerry Branigin, and her brother David Gellatly.  Survivors include her children Dean (Brenda) Marshall, Marilyn Carosella, Linda (Mike) Taylor and Paul (Kathy) Marshall; grandchildren Bill, Kristi, Jamie, Elizabeth, Teresa, Alyssa, Andrea, and Ryan; twelve great-grandchildren; and a nephew Bob Branigin.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S Crestline  Spokane, WA.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The MOOSE Project (The Magic of Oral and Signing Education)  801 E 2nd Ave Spokane, WA 99021.
