Dear Family of Dan,
Dan was our next door neighbour after the passing of Mrs. Fuseon, (spelling?) I was about 5 years old when he moved in. From that time on we suddenly gained 5+ acres to play on, as Dan was so friendly to us neighbour kids. We left notes on his door every time we would want to go for a swim in the river, if he was not home. Ever since we moved away to Bellingham in 2000, we missed him so much. He was always so friendly. Every time we would come back to Colbert, we would visit him, he was always so happy to see my brother Ian and I, we would have a swim like old times. The last time we saw him, I flew home from Australia, it was May 2016, he still let us on the property for a swim. We will miss him! He was such a good guy! Thank You Dan for all the awesome memories you have given us, you will never be forgotten!
Cheers Mate!
Brad Baldwin (kid next door, now 30 haha)

God gives us certain people in our life who unconditional love us. Dan for 40 years was that person for me. We meet in 1977 at a church group . There's so many times he showed his love for me. I was an active alcoholic then. I called from Ellensburg in 1982 and said I was ready to go into treatment without any hesitation on his part he said When ,where and what time I will take you. He has been such a major part of my life that there will be a void which will not be filled till we meet again with Jesus.

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful, intelligent guy through my dear friend Kelly McElroy. He always had something wise and intelligent to say. Godspeed Dan, heaven has a new angel.

I am blessed to have had a friend like Dan with whom I could argue for so many years. Thick or Thin I could count on Dan for help and/or political reports. McDonald's was his breakfast place and many of ours. He will be missed. My sympathy to his family.
