Michele and sons,
I am so sad to hear about your loss. I know Glen is DEFINITELY in a better place, but that doesn't take away your pain. I couldn't make the services, but Glen has been in my heart and prayers since I found out. I don't know what our fellow class of '66 members will do when it comes time to have another reunion, I think of Glen as Mr. Organizer.
Glen was respected by all, he never had a cross word to say and always carried a smile.
My heartfelt condolences,
Mike Murphy (class of 1966)

We regret that we were unable to attend services for Glen and personally express our condolences to this wonderful family. Glen was a superb human being, who we respected highly and our community will needs more like him. His family is a testament to his life. May his soul rest in peace in the kingdom of God and those who will miss him most be comforted in their faith and his memory.

Any time I saw Glen he always had a kind word and that smile that could light up the room. He was the kind of person you could always count on to lift your spirit. From the first time we met back at Prep to the times just seeing each other on a job or at a ball game, we would catch up and he always made my day brighter. My strength to his wonderful family.

Glen came recommended to me to help install a playground way back in the early .90s. He knew little about playgrounds then, but his charm and likeable personality convinced me to let him give it a try. Since then, he has made a difference to countless children and families in the region, creating great playgrounds and park spaces for everyone, While we sometimes joked he might not be getting much work accomplished because he was always talking to someone, his loveable and positive personality always made you want to forgive any minor shortcomings.
My company plans to donate a memorial bench in his honor, to be placed along a trail or a nearby playground. We just wish he was still around to install it.

We are so sorry for your loss, I have worked with Glen for many years through SiteLines, he will be truly missed.
My son is just starting to do playground installs, and Glen was his mentor for a short while. Josh always knew Glen would be there for him if he had a question.
We will all miss his cherry voice when he called the office and his story's that kept us laughing.
He was our office favorite, and will be never be forgotten.
May you rest in peace Glen.

So sorry Michele. I can't remember where I parked my car but I remember your first date with Glen. It was 1965 or 1966. Holy Names was having a dance and you asked Glen and it lasted 56 Yrs!! I ran cross country with Glen at Prep in 1964. He was so fast. We did lots of things together the next two yrs. The last I saw you both was at 50th high school reunion. I'll say a prayer for Glen tonight.

I had the pleasure to work with Glen on many projects over the past 30+ years. Glen was a rare gem--honest, straightforward, caring, easy to work with, and respectful of the needs of the clients, the children who would be clambering all over the play equipment he was installing, and the legacy that each project created. Always going the extra mile to make things 'just right'. We had many long conversations together, and I will greatly miss him.

In 2009 Glen installed the first High Drive memorial bench in my husband's memory. His name was Dr. Bill Grainger. I was confident that it would be put in the best and most appealing way. He was friendly, understanding, and competent, and so positive and enjoyable to work with. Then sometime later I was in charge of arranging for the second High Drive bench as a donation from my Hamblen Park Garden Club. Again, what a pleasure to work with Glen. His job must have given him daily satisfaction and pride.
My condolences go out to his family. Suzy Grainger

I was blessed to have worked with Glen st S&F. He was very patient with me as I was just out of College and we were all dealing with the loss of our dad and His boss Walt Devlin. Glen was a very loyal employee. Glen was a humble man, a good man and all the Devlin’s will always be thankful we knew Him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michelle and family.

Michelle and sons,

My deepest sympathy for your loss of Glen.

Had the pleasure of attending high school (Prep) with Glen and was always impressed with his positive and friendly nature. He was a handsome guy who never tried to act superior to those of us who felt inferior. Secretly, I wished that his hair was mine, but that was never to be.

In recent years, after some brief re-connecting, it was obvious that Glen was still very friendly and (this is my perception) very honest and humble.'

Glen was a classy guy who will be missed by many.

Again, my condolences for the loss of a great guy.

Best to all.
