Philip Scott "Scout" Camp

April 20, 1940 ~ September 16, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old


Philip Scott Camp (Scout) passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 16th, 2017.  He was a loving and generous father who brought much happiness to his children.  He lived a wonderful and adventurous life traveling around the world and enjoying people from every corner of the globe. He especially loved Hawaii and traveled to the Big Island often where he would golf and take long walks in the sunshine.  He loved a good meal, a glass of wine and he was full of information and trivia, especially geography.  He was longtime member of the Spokane Club and truly loved his fitness routines.  Scout was born in Walla Walla, WA on April 10th, 1940.  He attended WSU and the University of Hawaii while finishing his degree at WSU.  He dedicated his entire professional career working for the family business, Camp Chevrolet, Subaru, BMW, Volvo with his father, brothers and son Travis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Georgia (Jo) Camp, and his wife Judy Camp.  He is survived by his siblings Jerry Jr. (Vicki), Julie Camp Mckay, and Chris (Janet), two sons Travis and Carter and five grandchildren, Sally, Tommy, Annie, Clara and Thatcher. There will be no services.

  For all of you who loved Scout and enjoy traveling through the beautiful Palouse Country, take a trip to the Lacrosse, WA cemetery and say hello. He will be greatly missed.
