Jill was my best childhood friend and we were in each other's weddings. I first heard about Jill's illness last year and went to Spokane to visit her. I wasn't sure what to expect and was a little nervous. I was unprepared for the sweet surprise in that she was the blessing to me. Jill was so sweet and kind. I have thought about that visit almost every day and I treasure it in my heart.

It took months for me to process the news of her illness but I'm so glad I was able to see her one more time before she went to be with Jesus. How difficult it must have been for her to know she would be missing her family and they, her. The love and commitment right up to her last breath by her husband, Jim, is incredibly beautiful. What a blessing.

The musical tribute with family photos was so loving and beautiful. Her service was the day before I went to live in Japan for a few months with my son. I wish I could have been there. I think Jill came to visit me around that time because I had a vivid dream that she wanted to play like we did as children.

My heartfelt condolences go out to her parents, Al and Deanna, who were also a large part of my childhood, and to Jim, Tiffany, Erin, Joey, her brothers David and Mike, and sister, Kim.

Our love and prayers have been going out to all of you constantly in the past weeks. Jill was such a beautiful person, and we'll miss her. Lots of memories -- of the whole family at KFCC, weddings, renewal vows, Logan at your house, Tiffany at ours & with Jaron in Pullman -- flood our minds & hearts. We ache for you, but are comforted by the knowledge we'll see Jill again with all of you someday when we're Home. Much love to all,

Jim, Tiffany, Erin and Joey (you will always be Joey to us), Out hearts cannot express the sadness to hear that Jill passed away. Your journey has been in our hearts since her diagnosis. We know it has been a difficult journey. She was so very special. She was the sweet half, Jim. She was giving, loving, kind and a blessing to all who knew her. We cannot make the funeral do to other obligations but you are in our prayers!

We loved and admired Jill all the years we knew her. It was a great privilege to be her friend. She displayed inner beauty as well as outer beauty wherever she was. Her children are portraits of the kind of loving mom she was, and they display many aspects of her caring nature and demeanor. We will miss her until we step ashore in heaven, our forever home!
